WHAT WE DO.
HOW WE DO IT.

Three core services. One execution standard. Every load handled with the discipline and accountability that J2SCG was built on.

Service 01

FREIGHT BROKERAGE

J2SCG is a licensed freight broker — not a trucking company. As a broker, we do not own trucks or employ drivers. Our role is to connect your freight with the right qualified carrier, negotiate the rate, manage the shipment from pickup through delivery, and ensure the experience meets the standard you expect. You get a single point of contact who is accountable for the outcome — without having to manage the carrier relationship yourself.

J2SCG specializes in East Coast port-to-interior dry van freight brokerage. We connect shippers moving freight through Savannah, Norfolk, and Charleston with qualified, vetted carriers who deliver to Atlanta, Charlotte, Memphis, Columbus OH, Chicago, and points across the Southeast and Midwest.

What separates J2SCG from every other broker on our lanes is not our rate — it is our execution standard. Every carrier is FMCSA-verified before dispatch. Every load is tracked from pickup through delivery. Every shipper hears from us proactively — not reactively.

When you move freight with J2SCG, you have a direct line to a broker who knows your load, knows your lane, and will not rest until your freight is delivered clean.

  • 53’ dry van — general commodities, import and domestic freight
  • Port-to-interior lanes — Savannah, Norfolk, and Charleston corridors
  • Same-day capacity — emergency coverage on our core lanes
  • Competitive all-in rates — linehaul and FSC combined
  • Direct broker contact — no call centers, no hold queues
  • Same-day proof of delivery to shipper on every load

WE KNOW
THE TERMINALS.

TWIC carriers. Same-day gate turns. No demurrage surprises. J2SCG lives at the ports where your freight moves.

Service 02

PORT DRAYAGE

Container drayage at East Coast ports requires carriers who know the terminals, have their TWIC credentials, and can execute same-day turns without creating demurrage exposure. J2SCG has built the carrier relationships at Savannah, Norfolk, and Charleston to cover drayage moves efficiently and reliably.

We handle container pickups and deliveries at all three primary ports — whether you need a local move to a nearby distribution center or first-mile coverage connecting to an OTR lane heading inland.

  • Port of Savannah (Garden City Terminal) — primary AO
  • Port of Virginia / Norfolk — primary AO
  • Port of Charleston — primary AO
  • TWIC-certified carriers on all terminal moves
  • Same-day gate turns — no unnecessary dwell time
  • Container tracking through terminal gate-in to delivery
  • Seamless connection to inland dry van lanes

Our Process

SIX PHASES.
EVERY LOAD.

No shortcuts, no exceptions. Every load at J2SCG follows the same six-phase execution standard — from first call to final proof of delivery.

01
Find

LOCATE THE FREIGHT

Active shipper outreach, load board monitoring, and lane rate analysis. Every quote is backed by current market data — never memory or assumption.

02
Understand

COMPLETE LOAD INTAKE

We gather every load detail and take time to understand the shipper’s business — their schedule, their downstream dependencies, and what on-time delivery means for their operation specifically.

03
Qualify

VET THE CARRIER

FMCSA SAFER verification. Insurance confirmation. Carrier packet on file. Preferred network first. No carrier is dispatched on a J2SCG load without clearing our full qualification protocol.

04
Confirm

BRIEF BOTH SIDES

Written rate confirmation to the carrier within 15 minutes of verbal agreement. Load confirmation to the shipper with carrier name, driver, and ETA. Both parties are briefed before anything moves.

05
Execute

TRACK AND COMMUNICATE

Pre-pickup call. Pickup confirmed within one hour. Check calls in transit. Proactive shipper notification on any delay or exception — the shipper always hears from us first, never from the driver.

06
Close

DELIVER AND CLOSE CLEAN

Delivery confirmed with receiver. Signed BOL collected. Shipper invoiced same day. Carrier paid immediately following successful delivery. Load documented and closed. Mission complete.
