What We Require

CARRIER STANDARDS

Our standards are not bureaucratic hoops. They are the minimum qualifications that protect you, protect our shippers, and protect J2SCG from the legal exposure that post-Montgomery v. Caribe (2026) now places on brokers who fail to vet properly. When your credentials are on file, you move loads faster.

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS

  • Active FMCSA authority — verified through SAFER before every dispatch
  • Operating authority in good standing — no conditional or unsatisfactory rating
  • Minimum liability insurance on file — certificate naming J2SCG
  • Cargo insurance on file — minimums per J2SCG carrier agreement
  • Signed J2SCG carrier packet — completed before first load
  • TWIC card confirmed for all port terminal moves
  • W-9 on file for payment processing

HOW WE RATE PERFORMANCE

  • On-time pickup — driver arrives within the agreed window and communicates early if delayed
  • On-time delivery — meets shipper requirement or proactively notifies J2SCG of any delay before it becomes a problem
  • Communication — responds promptly to check calls and contacts dispatcher at the first sign of any issue
  • Freight condition — delivered without shortage or damage
  • Documentation — BOL signed and returned same day as delivery
  • Professionalism — conducts themselves as a J2SCG representative at pickup and delivery

To get started, reach out directly. Have your MC number, insurance certificate, and W-9 ready. We will send you the carrier packet, get everything on file, and put you in the system. First load typically within days of qualification.
