WHY WE EXIST

J2SCG is a licensed freight broker — we connect shippers with carriers, we do not own trucks or employ drivers. The freight brokerage industry moves billions of dollars of goods every year. Most of it is transacted, not served. Brokers compete on price, carriers are treated as interchangeable resources, and shippers are left hoping the load shows up on time.

Our Story

WHERE WE COME FROM

J2 Sutton Capital Group was founded by a veteran who spent 25+ years in the United States Army in Logistics and Communications — two of the most operationally demanding disciplines in the military. Planning supply routes. Managing communication systems under pressure. Leading soldiers in environments where the margin for error was zero.

Those years built an operational standard that most freight brokers have never been required to meet. In the Army, logistics is not a back-office function — it is the backbone of every successful mission. Without reliable supply, nothing moves. Without clear communication, everything breaks down. With both, even the most complex operation succeeds.

J2SCG was founded on the conviction that freight brokerage — at its core — is a logistics operation. And logistics operations succeed or fail based on the discipline, communication, and accountability of the people who run them.
